Want to maximize their performance: If you are looking to improve endurance, increase oxygen efficiency, and recover faster, this retreat gives you the tools to harness your breath as a powerful performance advantage.

Founder, Breathe Alaska
Certified SOMA Breath Level 2 Instructor
Cindee and Breathe Alaska are the organizers of this unique retreat, created from Cindee’s passion for helping athletes discover the power of their breath. Surrounded by athletes in her own life, her two daughters who are competitive swimmers and many friends who train and race, Cindee recognized how often breath is overlooked as a key element of performance. Inspired to bridge that gap, she brought together both world class breathwork experts and athletic coaches to guide participants in unlocking their full potential through conscious breathing. And what better setting than the breathtaking landscape of Juneau, Alaska, where nature itself invites you to pause, breathe deeply, and reconnect with your inner strength.

SOMA Breath Master Instructor & Oxygen Advantage Functional Breathing Instructor
Steffy’s journey into breathwork began through sport. In 2018, at the age of 48, she started competing in triathlons and Masters swimming, a late start that sparked a deep curiosity about how she could gain a competitive edge both physically and mentally. Breathwork became that edge. Through dedicated practice, she discovered how powerful conscious breathing could be for optimising endurance, focus, recovery, and emotional balance. The results were transformative, not only in performance but in life. Since then, she has competed multiple times at the English and British Masters Swimming Championships, qualified for the European and World Masters Championships, and achieved podium finishes in local triathlons. The profound impact breathwork had on her performance and wellbeing inspired her to train as a SOMA Breath Master Instructor and Oxygen Advantage Functional Breathing Instructor. Today, she works with athletes of all ages, helping them unlock their potential through the science and art of breath. She has delivered workshops to numerous swimming clubs across the UK, including the GB Down Syndrome Swimming Squad, current World Champions. Whether working one to one or with teams, her mission is to help athletes harness the breath to strengthen the body, calm the mind, and perform at their best in sport and beyond.

Your Retreat Journey
-

Arrive & Align
We begin the retreat with a shared welcome dinner and orientation. As the sun dips behind the mountains, we’ll gather to set intentions, connect as a group, and explore how breath serves as the unifying element between body, mind, and performance. This first evening sets the tone for the days ahead, inviting you to slow down, arrive fully, and open yourself to the experience that awaits.
-

Swim - Breath & Flow
The first full day dives deep into breath awareness and control in the water. A morning workshop explores functional breathing, CO₂ tolerance, and how to stay calm and focused under pressure. In the pool, participants will integrate apnea style training and breath-controlled swim drills before closing the day with a guided SOMA Breath Journey inspired by the element of water.
-

Bike - Breath & Grit
This day centers on breath as a stabilizing force during exertion. Through focused workshops and an integrated cycling session, participants learn nasal versus mouth breathing for endurance, pacing strategies for long climbs, and mental tools for staying composed when fatigue sets in. The ride itself becomes a moving meditation, steady, rhythmic, and deeply empowering.
-

Run - Breath & Rhythm
Our final day brings everything together. The morning focuses on diaphragmatic breathing, posture, and energy regulation for running. On the trail, participants will practice rhythmic breathing for flow and presence, followed by a powerful closing SOMA Breath Journey and reflection circle to integrate insights, celebrate progress, and inspire continued mindful practice.
