Frequently Asked Questions

If you're looking for a slower, more meaningful way to experience Juneau, I think you'll love it.
This isn't about rushing from one attraction to the next or checking another excursion off your list. It's about taking a deep breath, wandering through one of the most extraordinary forests in the world, enjoying incredible local food, and seeing Alaska through the eyes of someone who calls it home.
If that sounds like your kind of adventure, you're in the right place.

We walk about 1.5 miles at an easy, relaxed pace. There are a few uneven sections with tree roots and natural trails, but this is not a strenuous hike.
We stop often, linger when something catches our attention, and there's always time to simply take it all in. This experience is about slowing down, not keeping up.
-
Juneau likes to keep us guessing, so layers are your best friend.
I recommend comfortable walking shoes, a rain jacket, and clothes you'll be happy exploring in. Even on misty days, the forest is absolutely magical, and honestly, some of my favorite tours have happened in a little rain.

Most tours help you see Alaska.
Alaska Forest & Feast helps you experience it.
We'll wander beneath towering Sitka spruce, taste fresh local flavors, learn about the plants and stories that make this place so special, and create space to simply slow down. By the end of our time together, my hope is that you'll leave feeling like you've experienced the heart of Southeast Alaska, not just visited it.

Yes. This experience is designed with cruise guests in mind. We meet just a short walk from the cruise docks, and I carefully plan the timing so you'll have plenty of time to return to your ship.
You can relax, enjoy the experience, and leave the clock watching to me.
